Calmame

With the introduction of an acoustic guitar, the Basel based musician INEZONA aka Ines Brodbeck brings you on this EP from the first moment into a warm, melancholic expanse. Her enchanting voice fits perfectly into Winston Watson's groove drums, the beautiful clear double bass lines from Ryan Alfred and the typical electric Guitar sounds from Gabriel Sullivan that immediately remind you of the Arizona desert Send greetings to Ennio Morricone.

The whole EP has a lighter, less rock touch then her last Album ''Heartbeat''. INEZONA also sings several times like she did on her Album “NOW” in Spanish and can remind of the Mexican singer Lhasa de Sela. Combined with the songs in English, “Calmame” reflects perfectly the place where the EP was created. In the very south of Arizona in the city of Tucson near the Mexican border.

INEZONA's lyrics are, as always, picturesque, poetic. You have free rein yourself to find the meaning of their words. Usually there is a touch of wisdom, Questions about life or images of a bizarre dream in their texts. For example in this Track “El Hombre Que No Existe” (The Man Who does not Exist) or the almost jazzy track “Ghost In House” in which INEZONA talks to a ghost. The musical arc of the EP from the first song to the last instrumental one is a wonderful journey that is perfect if you want a moment all to yourself to recharge. Dive briefly into another world. “Calmame” is a timeless little piece of jewelry that goes straight to the heart and  Soul to calm!
